Well unfortunately my first car (or many after) was not a Mercedes-Benz.
My first car when I was a teenager was a 1984 Pontiac Grand Prix. Blue exterior with Blue interior.... Pretty much a beater but it got me around. My older brother actually got the car for me as he traded his coin collection for it with one of his friends (he must have been tired of giving me rides!?). The car got me around for a year or so until it finally died in my friends yard. As in the true terms of a deceased rap star I "threw it in the gutta and went and bought anotha". My friend who was mechanically inclined parted out the car (with my permission) then sent it to the scrapyard. I'm sure it was probably eventually melted down and may be rolling around the world somewhere as a Honda or Toyota (maybe in its 2nd or 3rd life!).
Anyway, not very glamorous for a Mercedes-Benz site but my true story. _________________ CenCalMB

| My first car was a 2000 Dodge Intrepid 2.7 liter. I really wish it would have been a Benz, but then I would have been deathly afraid of getting any little scratch or knick on it. I really did like my Intrepid. It wasn't the fastest thing in the world, but it did its job til' about 125,000 miles. It lasted pretty good for the beating I put it through as a first car. |

1951 Studebaker Champion Starlite Coupe
(Raymond Loewy design)
Purchased from behind a house of ill repute in 1975 - had been sitting so long a small maple was growing between the front bumper and the grill.
...eased out the clutch on the way home, and it started.
Smoked like a mosquito fogger however, as that is NOT the recommended way to treat your oil rings after a 7 year rest.
Ahhhhhh Studebaker. |

| My first car was a 1968 Volswagen Beetle. My dad restored it. Painted it and put a new engine in it. It was a good 1st car for a teenager. Though I blew the 1st engine in the 1st year. Ran it out of oil. I could never make it from one town to the other with out breaking down. One time I broke down on the highway in AZ between Phoenix and Flagstaff and a diesel truck stopped to help. They ended up hauling me and my car up to the truck stop in Flagstaff. (Which was where I lived.) I will never forget that. |
